ToggleWhat Is an RACI Template?
An RACI template is a project management tool that clarifies roles and responsibilities by categorizing each team member’s involvement in tasks as Responsible (does the work), Accountable (ultimately answerable for completion), Consulted (provides input), or Informed (kept updated on progress).
This simple framework helps prevent work from falling through the cracks and reduces duplicate efforts by establishing clear ownership and communication channels.

Our RACI Template helps teams clearly define roles and responsibilities for project tasks by identifying who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed for each activity.
What’s included
- Comprehensive task management columns: The template includes dedicated columns for Task, Priority, Status, and Due Date, enabling you to systematically organize project deliverables, rank their urgency, track progress in real time, and maintain accountability for the timeline across all activities.
- Four-role responsibility matrix: Each task row includes columns for Responsible (those doing the work), Accountable (the final decision-maker), Consulted (subject-matter experts who provide input), and Informed (stakeholders kept in the loop), ensuring crystal-clear role definitions and eliminating confusion about who owns what.
- Project identification header: The top section provides editable fields for Project Title and Project Manager name, allowing you to immediately identify which initiative the matrix governs and who holds overall project accountability for quick reference and professional documentation.
- Flexible notes column: A dedicated Notes field accompanies each task row, providing space to capture critical context, dependencies, special instructions, or action items that don’t fit neatly into the structured responsibility columns but are essential to successful task execution.
You can easily customize it by adding or removing columns to fit your specific project needs and workflow requirements.
